Track meet, 1973. These six black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. This series of images was created using two separate film rolls, so some of the physical numbers on the strips are duplicated. For the purposes of this description, the strips will be grouped together based on which roll of film they originally came from, and each group will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with their physical number (ex: 17a, 17b, etc.). The images in group "a" show a track meet between Timberline High School and a team with jerseys which read "Central." Image 10a shows two young men jumping over a hurdle. The young man on the right has a Timberline jersey on. Image 11a shows spectators gathered at the edge of the track. There are cars parked on an elevated level in relation to the track. Image 22a shows a young man in a Central jersey about to cross the finsih line while three young men in Timberline jerseys follow closely behind. Image 23a shows spectators sitting on a low hill. There is also a van with the back hatch open. Image 24a shows an elelvated shot of the track meet. Image 25a also shows an elevated shot of the track meet, but it also shows several of the spectators watching from the hill.
