Sports, unknown dates. These eight black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images were created using two different film rolls, so one of the physical numbers on the strips is duplicated. For the purposes of this description these strips will be grouped according to which film roll they originally came from, then each group will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with their physical number (ex: 17a, 17b, etc.). The images in group "a" show an adult baseball game between, according to the names on their jerseys, one team called "Boondox" and the other which appears to be called the "Yankees." Image 3a shows a batter for the Yankees having just swung at a pitch. An outfielder with jersey number 18 is facing away from the camera in the foreground. Image 4a shows a similar scene to that of image 3, but the outfielder is taking a step forward. Image 5a shows a left-handed batter from Boondox having just swung at a pitch. An outfielder with jersey number 3 is in the foreground. Image 6a shows a similar scene to that of image 5a, but the batter is right handed and preparing for a pitch. Image 7a shows a batter for the Boondox having just swung at a pitch. The outfielder with jersey number 3 is very near the center of the image. Image 8a shows another batter for the Boondox swinging at a pitch. The pitcher, batter, and catcher are all out of focus. Image 9a shows a player for the Yankees having just swung at a pitch. The outfielder in jersey number 18 is near the left edge of the image frame. Image 10a shows a similar scene to the previous images, but no outfielder is in the shot. Image 12a shows a player for the Yankees having just hit a pitch, and the ball is at the top right of the frame. This image is captured from to the right of the batter. Image 13a shows a Yankees pitcher winding up for a pitch. Image 14a shows a player with jersey number 14 facing away from the camera in the foreground. A referee at the right of the image is kicking out his right foot. Image 15a shows a referee running toward the outfield. His back is turned toward the camera. Image 16a shows number 14 for one of the teams facing away from the camera in the foreground, and number 14 for the other team awaiting the ball as a member of the other team appraoches his base. Image 17a shows player 3 for one of the teams running out toward the outfield wall. Image 18a shows a player from Boondox sliding into third base. The images in group "b" show a boys' high school basketball game between the Timberline High School Blazers and the Hoquiam High School Grizzlies. The game took place at Timberline High School. Image 19b shows number 44 for Timberline jumping up for a lay-in or going for a rebound. Number 22 for Hoquiam is at the right of the image frame. Image 20b shows number 44 for Timberline going for a jump shot. Number 34 for the Blazers is at the center of the image frame.
