Description

Total Hardware opening, unknown date. These two black and white film negatives strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show one woman and four men standing in front of a hardware storefront. Three of the men and the woman are holding a two-by-four with "... total hordware" printed on it. The fourth man is using a handsaw to cut through the two-by-four. Images 2 shows the man with the handsaw beginning to cut the two-by-four. Image 3 shows a very similar scene, but the woman is looking toward the camera and the leftmost man is tilting his head downward. Image 4 again shows a similar scene, but the man on the far right is looking toward the other people instead of the camera. Images 5 and 6 are nearly identical to image 4. Image 7 shows all five people looking toward the camera and laughing. The two-by-four has been cut in two. Image 8 shows the people examining the cut pieces of the two-by four. Printed at intervals along one edge of these film negative strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM 5063."
