Description

MAD Festival, unknown dates. These nineteen oversized black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. The majority of these strips do not have physical numbers on them, so a lower-case letter will be assigned to each strip, and each image will be assigned an individual number to go along with the strip letter (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, etc.). There are 44 images total. Most or all of these images were captured inside or in the parking lot of the Saint Martin's College (now University) Marcus Pavilion (at the time called Capital Pavilion).

Context

The MAD (music, arts, dance) Festival starts in 1974 and is Lacey's first major community festival.
