Description

Paul and Linda Manly with fish, unknown date. These four black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show close-ups of various fish in a fishtank, and a man and woman looking at the fish tanks. Image 9 shows two whole fish and two fish which are partially outside the image frame. These fish have very (vertically) long fins. Image 10 shows one fish facing the camera head-on. It's mouth is open. Image 11 shows the fish from image 10 swimming toward the upper right corner of the image frame. Image 12 shows a fish with a v-shaped tail fin swimming toward the bottom right corner of the image. There is an out of focus fish swimming behind the first fish. Image 13 shows the same or a similar fish to that in image 12. It is swimming toward the left side of the image. Image 14 shows a fish with bulging eyes facing slightly downward. Image 15 shows the same bulging-eyed fish facing directly at the camera. Image 16 shows the same fish facing to the left of the camera. Image 17 shows the fish facing slightly upward. Image 18 shows a man and a woman looking at at least nine separate fishtanks all on one shelf. The man appears to be speaking. Image 19 shows a similar scene, but the man is looking toward the fishtanks. His face is in profile. Image 20 again shows a similar scene, but here the woman is lifting the top up on one of the fishtanks. Image 21 is blank. Printed in alternation along one edge of all of these strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
