Description

Area businesses and scenery, unknown dates. These seventeen film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These strips came from at least twelve different individual film rolls, so many of the physical numbers for the images are repeated several times. For the purposes of this description, these strips will be grouped according to which film roll they originally came from. These groups will then be assigned a lower-case letter, and each image in the group will be referred to by its physical number and the letter of its group (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, etc.). The images in group "a" show an exterior view of a building with a snowy parking lot, a man and a woman posing for a photo in an office, a man standing next to a cage with a parrot in it, a woman watering a anging plant, an outside shot of a Del's Thriftway, a woman standing next to a display called The Herb Center, and mannequins posed to appear to be flying kites at the entrance to the People's store in South Sound Center. Image 42a shows an exterior view of a building with a snowy/slushy arking lot. In the parking lot in front of the building are a saw horse, a sign laying on the ground, and a wooden traingle-shaped structure laying on the ground. Image 43a shows a man with a mustache (Tim Maguire) and a woman wearing a sweater posing for a photo in what appears to be an office. Image 2a shows a man with a mustache reaching out with his left hand to touch a large birdcage with a parrot in it. Image 3a shows the same man posing for a photo next to the birdcage. There are a number of other cages in the background of various shapes and sizes. The man is looking toward the camera and is shown from the waist up. Image 9a shows an exterior view of the front of a Del's Thriftway grocery store.
