Description

Johnny Lewis, unknown date. This single black and white film negative strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a portion of a room in Lacey Music Center with many acoustic guitars and guitar-related memorabilia items in it, and a man (Johnny Lewis) in a sweater posing with a trophy and a plaque. Image 39 also shows a room with many acoustic guitars and related memorabilia in it. Image 40 shows Johnny Lewis holding a trophy and a plaque awarded to Ruth and John Lewis by the Order Sons of Italy of America. Images 41-43 are nearly identical to image 40. Johnny Lewis was the original owner of Lacey Music Center. The business is now (August 2017) called Music 6000, as is not located in its original location. Ken Balsley came up with the name "Music 6000." (Ken Balsley interview, 11/11/2016) Printed in alternation along one edge of this film negative strip is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
