Description

Houses, unknown dates. These five black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. Three different film rolls were used in the creation of these images, so some of the numbers are duplicated. For the purposes of this description, the strips will be grouped according to which film roll they originally came from. Each of these groups will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with their physical number to help differentiate between images (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, etc.). The images in group "a" show two houses. Image 9a shows a rambler style home. There is snow sovering much of the yard. Image 10a and 11a are virtually identical to image 9a. Image 12 shows a two storey home with the front door on the second floor. A wooden set of stairs goes from ground level to the front door. The street number on the house is 8409, and there is a for sale sign from DeTray Realty in the yard. There is snow covering much of the yard. Images 13a and 14a are nearly identical to image 12a. The images in group "b" show a rambler style home for sale. There is a for sale sign in the yard from Olympia Town and Country realty. The contact on the sign is Tom Brown. Images 13b-17b are all nearly identical. The images in group "c" show two different houses. Image 14c shows a single storey home with a large piece of snake-shaped driftwood in the left-hand side of their front yard. There is a for sale sign from Lacey Realty in the front yard. Images 15c and 16c are nearly identical to image 14c. Image 32c shows a rambler style home. Three tall trees in front of the home appear to be covered in ivy. The street number for the home is 5416. Images 33c and 34c are nearly identical to image 32c. Printed at intervals along one edge of all of these film negative strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM 5063."
