Unidentified Lacey Leader employees, unknown dates. These twelve black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images were created using at least seven different film rolls, so many of the physical numbers on the strips are repeated everal times. For the purposes of this description, these strips will be grouped according to which film roll they originally came from. Each of these groups will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with the physical image numbers to help with differentiation between images (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, etc.) The images in group "a" show two women and two men posing for individual portraits. Image 10a shows a woman with a bowl-shaped haircut and a sweater smiling at the camera. Image 11a shows a man with a mustache and two pens in his shirt pocket. He is smiling slightly. Image 12a is very similar to the previous image, but the man is not smiling. Image 13a is nearly identical to image 12a. Image 14a shows a woman with glasses wearing a jacket with knit sleeves and hood. She is smiling at the camera Image 15a is very similar to the previous image, but the woman has an even larger smile on her face. Image 16a shows the same woman from a 3/4 angle. She is facing toward the right-hand side of the image frame. Image 17a shows the same woman with her body oriented toward the right-hand side of the image frame, but her head turned to face the camera. Image 18a shows a man with a mustache wearing a tie and a sweater. His mouth is open slightly, but he is not smiling. Image 19a shows the same man, but he is smirking. Image 20a again shows the same man, this time with a full smile on his face. The images in group "b" show one man and one woman posing for individual portraits. Image 16b shows a woman with shoulder-length hair with a full smile. Image 17b shows the same woman, but she is smiling only slightly. Image 18b is nearly identical to image 17b. Image 19b shows a bearded man (Louie Balukoff) in glasses with a large smile on his face. This image was captured very close to Mr. Balukoff's face, and from a low angle. Image 20b shows Mr. Balukoff from the mid-torso up. Images 21b and 22b are nearly identical to image 20b. Image 23b is very similar to the previous two images, but the man has turned more toward the right-hand side of the image frame. The images in group "c" show a man in glasses and a suit and tie (Ed Bagley) posing for photos. Image 29c shows Mr. Bagley looking at the camera and not smiling. Image 30c is nearly identical to image 29c. Image 31c is similar to the two previous images, but he has a smile on his face. Image 32c is nearly identical to image 31c. The images in group "d" show a woman with glasses and bangs posing for a photo. Image 32d shows the woman turned slightly toward the right side of the image frame. Image 33d shows the woman turned slightly toward the left side of the image frame with her head tipped up slightly. Image 34d shows the woman facing slightly toward the left-hand side of the image frame. She is facing downward slightly. The images in group "e" show an older man in a tie and a plaid suit posing for photos. Image 39e show the man smiling. Image 40e is very similar to the previous image, but the man is not smiling. The images in group "f" show one woman and fifteen men in suits posing individually for photos. Many of the men have a Rotary buttons visible on their jackets. All of the men may be wearing Rotary buttons, but they may not be visible becasue they are outside the image frame. Image 1f shows a woman with bangs and a cross necklace holding the handle for a broom or mop. Image 2f shows a man with glasses and a mustache posing for a photo. Image 3f shows a man with combed-back hair posing for a photo. Image 4f shows a man with glasses posing for a photo. Image 10f shows a balding man posing for a photo. Image 11f shows a man with a striped tie posing for a photo. Image 12f shows a man with his hair parted on the right posing for a photo. Image 13f shows a man leaning forward posing for a photo. Image 14f shows a man with his hair parted on the left posing for a photo. Image 15f shows a man (Floyd Pugh) facing directly toward the camera. Image 16f shows a man wearing a suit with a large plaid design and a diagonally-striped tie. Image 17f shows a man (Art Getchman) with close-cropped hair. Image 18f shows a man with combed-back hair. Image 19f shows a man with a plaid jacket and striped tie. Image 20f shows a man (Mike Ostrander) with his hair parted on the right. Image 21f shows a man with glasses. The images in group "g" show men with Rotary buttons posing for photos. These images may have been produced for a Rotary roster. Image 14g shows a man (Jim Land) with thinning hair looking toward the camera and smiling . Image 15g shows a man with a plaid shirt and a tie clip. Image 16g shows a man (Al Homann) with horn-rimmed glasses and a bolo tie. Image 17g shows a man with combed-back hair. Image18g shows a man with glasses and short hair with a widow's peak. Image 19g shows the same man as image 18g.
Printed at intervals along one edge of the strips in groups a.b and c is "KODAK SAFETY FILM 5063." Printed in alternation along one edge of the strips in groups d, e, f and g is "KODAK SAFETY FILM " and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."Made/Created
