Description

Bea Manier, unknown date. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a woman (Bea Manier) with glasses in a pants suit seated on a couch in front of a window. Image 3 shows the woman looking toward the left side of the image frame. She is nearly in profile. Image 4 is very similar to the previous image, but Ms. Manner has turned her head very slightly toward the camera more. Images 5 and 6 are virtually identical to image 4. Image 7 shows Ms. Manier looking just to the left of the camera. The photographer has moved several feet to the left versus the four previous images. Image 8 shows Ms. Manier looking directly toward the camera. Images 9 and 10 are very similar to image 8, but the image is oriented horizontally instead of vertically. Images 11-14 are virtually identical to image 7. Printed at intervals along one long edge of both of these film strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM 5063."
