Description

8th Grade Tim City Basketball, unknown date. These five black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images were created using at least two different film rolls, so some of the physical numbers on the strips are duplicated. For the purposes of this description, the strips will be grouped according to which film roll they originally came from. Each group will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with the images' physical numbers (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, etc.) to help differentiate between images. The images in group "a" show an adult men's shirts vs. skins basketball game. Image 44a shows a blurry shot of two shirtless men running down the basketball court. The man closer to the camera has a mustache and is dribbling the ball. Both men are facing toward the left-hand side of the image frame. Player 30 for the shirts team is facing away from the camera near the center of the image frame. Image 4a shows a player on the skins team having released a hook shot. The ball is in the air approximately 6' above the heads of the players. There is a player in goggles at the left edge of the image. Player 13 for the shirts team is at the bottom right corner of the image. Image 26a shows a player on the shirts team about to release a lay-up. The referee is aligned with te hoop, but at the sideline. Image 27a shows a man in glasses having released a shot while a player on the shirts team missed blocking it. Number 30 for the shirts team is facing away from the camera under the hoop. Image 28a shows a man on the skins team about to make a lay-up.
