Timberline State AA Semifinal Football, unknown dates. These fourteen black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images were created using four different film rolls, so some of the physial numbers on the strips appear more than once within this sleeve. For the purposes of this description, these strips will be grouped according to which film roll they originally came from. Each group will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with the physical numbers on the strips within that group (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, etc.) to help differentiate between images. The images in group "a" show a boys' high school football game between the Timberline Blazers and an unknown team called the Spartans (possibly Bainbridge High School). Image 42a shows player 34 for Timberline running the ball through a group of players from both teams. Player 84 for Timberline is down on all fours, and player 33 for the Spartans is to the left of the center of the image facing away from the camera. Image 43a shows the ball in the air above and to the right of the center of the image. Player 23 for Timberline is laying on top of someone below center of the image. Image 44a shows players 99 and 22 for the Spartans down on the ground, with player 22 hugging player 99 from behind. They may be laying on top of a third player, but the image is blurry so it is difficult to tell. Player 63 is at the right-hand side of the image holding both arms up in the air. Image 1a shows a Spartans players running the ball. Players 73, 76 and 23 for Timberline are closing in to tackle him. Image 2a shows a blurry shot of a Spartans player running the ball. No other players are visible in the shot. Image 3a shows several players laying in a pile in the aftermath of a tackle. A referee is the closest person to the camera, and he is facing away from the camera and running toward the pile. Image 4a shows player 44 for the Spartans down on the ground. A Timberline player appears to have thrown him to the ground, and four other Timberline players are running in from the right. Image 5a shows player 40 for Timberline being tackled from behind by player 30 from the Spartans. There is a referee immediately behind the tackler and tacklee. Most of them have their hands on the shoulders of the cheerleaders to their right and left. Image 19b shows the unknown team running onto the field through a tunnel of fans. Image 20b shows the end of a play. Player 24 for Timberline is at the left-hand side of the image and player 62 for Timberline is at the right-hand side of the image. Image 21b shows the unknown team about to run a play. The quarterback for the unknown team has is mouthguard out and is likely calling a play. Image 22b shows a play ending. Player 76 for the unknown team is at the left-hand edge of the image, and player 24 for Timberline is to the right of him. Image 23b shows player 23 for the unknown team carrying the ball.
