Timberline basketball, unknown dates. These two film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images were created using two different film rolls, and one of the physical numbers on the strips (specifically number 24) appear on both strips. For the purposes of this description, each of these strips will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with their physical numbers (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, etc.) to help differentiate between images with the same physical number. The images in group "a" show a boys' high school basketball team between the Timberline Blazers and an unknown team with a knight logo on their jerseys. Image 19a shows a portion of the crowd at the game. Several of the fans are holding up signs which say things like "Darlin' Danny Pratt" and "Long Tall Greg." Image 20a shows a portion of the crowd and the scoreboard. The board shows the score to e 10-12 with 8:00 left in the second period. Image 21a shows a portion of the crowd at the game. In the bottom right-hand corner of the image in the near foreground is a man with sideburns wearing a striped shirt. Image 22a shows three players jumping in the air for a rebound. Player 25 for the unknown team is the left-most player in the image. Image 23a shows player 32 for the Blazers having just released a lay-up. Player 51 for the unknown team is under the basket with one foot on the ground and the other foot up in the air. Image 24a shows players 44 and 32 for the Blazers jumping up for a rebound. A referee facing away from the camera is occupying most of the left-hand half of the image. There images in group "b" appear to show the same basketball game as shown in group "a." Image 24b shows a large portion of the audience at the game. Near the right-hand edge of the image is a single cheerleader facing away from the camera with her arms up in a "Y" shape. Image 25b shows a Blazers player and a player from the unknown team with jersey number 41 jumping up for a rebound. Player 21 for the unknown team is the left-most player visible in the image. Image 26b shows a player for the unknown team with an "E" on his sock jumping up toward the ball, which is well above his head. The scoreboard is visible in the background and shows that there is 4:05 left in the period. Image 27b shows a portion of the crowd with the scoreboard behind them on the wall. The board shows that there is 3:52 left in the fourth period. Image 28b shows a Blazers player about to release a lay-up. Player 51 for the unknown team is trying to block the shot and is facing away from the camera. A referee is partially visible at the left-hand edge of the image. Image 29b shows a large portion of the crowd. Near the right-hand edge of the image is a single cheerleader holding her left arm out to the side and her right fist in the air.
Printed in alternation along one long edge of both of these film negative strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."Made/Created
