Real estate, unknown dates. These twenty black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images were created using many different film rolls, so many of the physical numbers on the strips (used to differentiate between images) are repeated several times over. For the purposes of this description, these strips will be grouped according to which film roll they originally came from. Each of these groups will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with the physical numbers on the strips (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, etc.) to help differentiate between the images. The images in group "a" show exterior shots of seven different homes. Image 21a shows a two-story home a with deck extending off the second floor and a porch or set of stairs at the first floor. There is a fence curving through the image in the foreground made of wooden posts and metal wire or mesh. Image 22a shows a single-storey home with an attached two-car garage on the right-hand end of the house. There are four columns and two large windows made of many smaller panes on the front of the house. A car's sideview mirror is visible in the bottom right foreground. Images 23a and 24a are nearly identical to image 22a. Image 25a shows a two-storey home with the front door set between the first and second floors. The entryway surrounding the front door is very tall, and the front door is surrounded by windows. The street number for the home is 2706, and there is a two-door car parked in the driveway. Image 35a shows a two-storey home with an attached two-car garage on the left-hand end of the home. The front door is set in between the first and second floors. The street number for the home is 6002, and there is a Ford pickup truck parked in the driveway. Images 36a-37a are nearly identical to image 35a. Image 38a shows a single-storey, rambler-style home with several tall coniferous trees surrounding it. At the center of the image is an Evergreen Olympic real estate sign. Image 39a is nearly identical to image 38a. Image 1a shows a single-storey home with a one-car garage attached on the right-hand end of the home. There is a hydrangea in front of the front window of the home, and the street number is 1961. Image 2a is nearly identical to image 1a. Image 3a shows a single-storey, rambler-style home with a garage attached on the left-hand end of the home. The street number for the home is 1880, and there is a pickup truck with a canopy over the bed parked to the left of the garage. Images 4a and 5a are nearly identical to image 3a. The images in group "b" show exterior shots of five different homes. Image 32b shows a single-storey home surrounded by shrubs. A tree's branch is extending into the image foreground from the right-hand side. There is a large wooden arch next to the home on the right-hand side of the image. Image 33b is nearly identical to image 32b. Image 34b shows a two-storey home with a gambrel roof with a point at the front peak. There is a small windmill in the backyard, a very large wheel in the front yard. Image 35b shows a home with a two-storey section at the center with a single-storey section extending off to the right of the two-storey section. There is a single-storey garage extending forward from the two-storey section. There is a raised area in front of the home with three large trees growing out of it. Images 36b-37b are nearly identical to image 35b. Image 38b shows a single-storey, rambler-style home with an attached garage on the left-hand end of the home. There are two large windows at the right-hand side of the house, and a brick facade covering the wall to the left of the front door. There is a Boone and Boone Realty sign in the yard near the driveway, and a second one hanging on the garage to the right of the garage door. Image 39b shows a single-storey, rambler-style home with an attached garage at the left-hand end of the home. There is an SUV parked in the driveway, and the front end of another car is visible beyond the SUV. Images 40b and 41b are nearly identical to image 39b. The images in group "c" show exterior shots of three homes and construction of a large building which appears to be a school. Image 15c shows a single-storey home with an attached garage on the backside of the house. There are shutters on the front windows of the home, and these shutters have a Chrsitmas tree-shaped cutout in them. There is a conferous tree, approximately 6 feet tall, to the right of the center of the image. Image 16c shows a single-storey, rambler-style home with an attached garage at the left-hand end of the house. There is a low hedge dividing the home's front yard from the neighbor's. The home has a brick facade covering the front of the home to the right of the front door. There is a lamp on a post in the front yard, and the base of the post is brick. Image 17c shows an inside shot of the large, school-type building under construction. There are three men visible in the image, one of which is wearing a hardhat and facing away from the camera. Image 18c shows another interior shot of the large building under construction. In the foreground is a five-gallon bucket, some thin wooden slats, and a shirt laying on the ground. In the background to the right of center is a small bulldozer. Image 19c shows an exterior shot of the building under construction. There is a large expanse of a dirt field between the camera and the building. In the field is a large pile of debris, mostly wood. Image 20c shows another exterior shot of the building under construction. There is a forklift bringing a load of plywood to the top of the building where a man in a hardhat is unloading it. The facade of the building is covered with plywood with the Weyerhaeuser logo stamped on it. Image 21c shows another shot of the building under construction. Two men in hardhats are visible standing on the roof while a third man in a hardhat is crouching down. Image 22c shows a single-storey rambler-style home with no visible garage. There is a gravel area between the road and yard. There is a well with a brick base in the front yard. Images 23c and 24c are nearly identical to image 22c. The images in group "d" show exterior shots of five different homes. Image 41d shows a single-storey, rambler-style home with an attached two-car garage at the right-hand end of the image. A section of the home juts out from the front center. This jutting section has three equal-sized windows and an overhanging section of roof supported by two thin columns. Image 42d is nearly identical to image 41d. Image 43d shows a small, single-storey house with an attached garage on the right-hand side. There is a chimney with a wood facade on the left-hand end of the home. There is a Holly Homes sign hanging on the home to the left of the front door. Image 44d is nearly identical to image 43d. Image 1d shows a single-storey home with an attached garage on the left-hand side of the house. There is a pickup truck with a high-walled bed parked in the driveway, and there is a pile of dirt to the right of the home. Image 2d shows a single-storey home with an attached garage on the left-hand side of the home. There is a Holly Homes sign hanging on the house to the right of the garage door. There is an Evergreen Olympic realty sign in the front yard. The front yard is unlandscaped soil. Image 3d is nearly identical to image 2d. Image 4d shows a single0storey home with a section at the center which is either a small second storey or only meant to let light in. There are five vertical sections of stone facade on the front of the home, and the front yard appears to be made up of gravel and larger rocks. Image 5d and 6d are nearly identical to image 4d. The images in group "e" show exterior shots of a real estate office and three homes. Image 11e shows a commercial building with a sign on the front which reads "GOLD STAR REALTY." There are two cars partially visible in the parking lot. There are two tall coniferous trees standing between the camera and the building. Image 12e shows the same building as in the previous image, but the photographer has moved approximately twelve feet to their right. Images 13e and 14e are nearly identical to image 12e. Image 15e shows a two-storey home with an attached garage on the left-hand side. The house has a brick facade surrounding the front door and extending to a section of wall to the left of the front door. There is a van parked in the driveway, and there is a guardrail along the roadside and the right-hand side of the image. Images 16e and 17e are nearly identical to image 15e. Image 18e shows the same house as in the previous three images, but the photographer has moved to just inside the road guardrail. A deck is visible on the right-hand side of the home. Images 19e and 20e are nearly identical to image 18e. Image 30e shows a single-storey, rambler-style home with an attached garage on the right-hand end of the home. The home has an M-shaped decoration above the garage door, and there are three sets of double windows across the front of the home. Image 31e shows a blurry shot of a portion of a wall and base moulding. Image 32e shows a single-storey, rambler-style home with an attached garage at the left-hand end of the house. There is a two-door coupe parked in the driveway. There is a barbed wire fende in the foreground. Images 33e and 34e are nearly identical to image 32e. The images in group "f" show two single-storey homes. Image 18f shows a single-storey, rambler-style home with an attached garage on the left-hand end of the house. There are two windows in the garage door. There is one Boone and Boone Realty sign hanging to the right of the front door, and a second in the front yard. Image 19f is very similar to image 18f, but the photographer has moved approximately fifteen feet to their left. The realty sign in the front yard is visible on-edge near the right-hand edge of the image. Image 20f shows a single-storey, rambler-style home with an attached garage at the right-hand side of the house. The home has a sections of shingled facades below the windows. The house shown in images 18f and 19f is partially visible at the right-hand side of this image. Images 21f and 22f are nearly identical to image 20f. The images in group "g" show exterior shots of two homes. Image 30g shows a home with an attached two-car garage at the left-hand side. Above the garage is a second-storey. The right-hand side of the house is single-storey. The single-storey section of the house, as well as some sections of the two-storey portion of the house, have a brick facade. There is a Virgil Adams Realty sign in the front yard. Image 31g is nearly identical to image 30g. Image 32g shows a single-storey home with an attached garage on the left-hand side of the home. This image was captured from the end of the home's driveway. There are rectangular decorative elements below the two windows on the front of the house. Images 33g and 34g are nearly identical to image 32g. The images in group "h" show a church, a commercial building/restaurant, and two homes. Image 30h shows the First Christian Church on the soutwest corner of 7th Avenue and Franklin Street in Olympia, Washington. There is a stop sign with street signs identifying the intersection in the foreground, and a Volkswagen Beetle passing out of the image frame in the bottom right corner of the image. Image 31h shows a building on the southwest corner of Capitol Boulevard SE and Custer Way SW in Tumwater, Washington. On top of the front of the building is a wooden false wall which resembles an Old West storefront. Image 32h shows a single-storey, rambler-style home with an attached garage on the right-hand side of the house. The street number for the home is 7714. Image 33h shows the walkway to the front door of a house. There are several rhodedendron bushes flanking the walkway, and a portion of a conferous tree is occupying the left-hand edge of the image. Image 34h is nearly identical to image 33h. The images in group "i" show the foundation of a building under construction and an exterior shot of a home. Image 29i shows the foundation of a building under construction. Approximately half of the floor joists are installed, and there is a man bent over performing some sort of work on the joists. A second man is kneeling down and working on the joists. Images 30i and 31i are nearly identical to image 29i. Image 32i shows a single-storey home with an attached garage on the left-hand side of the house. The house has diagonal wooden siding. There is a van backed up to the garage with the rear doors open. There is a man standing at the back of the van. Image 33i is nearly identical to image 32i, but the man is no longer visible. The images in group "j" show exterior shots of two different houses. Image 14j shows a single-storey, rambler-style home with an attached garage on the left-hand end of the house. There are three mailboxes in the front yard near the right-hand edge of the image. Images 15j and 16j are nearly identical to image 14j. Image 17j shows a single-storey, rambler-style home with an attached garage at the left-hand end of the house. There is a station wagon parked in the driveway. There are two mailboxes near the right-hand edge of the image. The images in group "k" show exterior shots of two different homes. Image 37k shows a two-storey home with a deck extending from the second floor and an attached two-car garage. There is a screen of poplar trees between the house and the camera. Image 38k shows a two-storey home with a garage occupying the bottom floor of the right-hand half of the house. The front door is halfway between the first and second floors. There is a Holly Homes sign to the left of the leftmost garage door, and this sign has partially come loose from the house. Images 39k and 40k are nearly identical to image 38k. The images in group "l" show exterior shots of two different houses. Image 8l shows a single-storey, rambler-style home with a brick facade which goes halfway up the front walls. This facade extends out from the walls of the house to enclose a small courtyard which leads to the front door. Image 9l is nearly identical to image 8l. Image 10l shows a home with a two-storey section on the right-hand side and a single-storey section on the left. The street number for the house is 6824. Images 11l and 12l are nearly identical to image 10l. The images in group "m" show exterior shots of two different homes. Image 42m shows a two-storey home with an attached garage on the right-hand side of the house. There is a motorhome and pickup truck with a canopy parked alongside the garage and a pickup truck with an attached camper parked at the right-hand edge of the image. Image 43m and 44m are nearly identical to image 42m. Image 1m shows a single-storey home with an attached garage on the right-hand end of the house. The street number for the house is 8902. A car's sideview mirror is visible in the bottom right-hand corner of the image.
The building shown in image 31h housed the South Pacific restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, from 1982 until July of 2013.
