Description

New Lacey Leader building, unknown date. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show posed photos, building repairs and people moving into the second Lacey Leader office. Image 28 shows one man and four women posing next to a sign which reads "FUTURE SITE OF Your NEWSPAPER Lacey Leader." Image 29 shows three men doing roof repair on the new office. Image 30 is nearly identical to image 29. Image 31 shows to men working with cinderblocks outside of the new Lacey Leader office. They may be repairing the foundation or extending the foundation for a future expansion of the building. The two men are wearing shirts which read "ROY PALM MASONRY." A third man in a cap is watching the two men work. Image 32 is very similar to image 31. Image 33 is similar to the previous two images, but the image was captured from alongside the building's outer wall. Image 38 shows a man standing inside a loaded moving truck. The tailgate of the truck is up. Image 39 is similar to the previous image, but the tailgate is down or almost all the way down. Image 40 shows two men moving a large object through a doorway into the new building. Image 41 shows two men moving a large piece of equipment across a room. Image 42 shows a young man in a Lacey Leader t-shirt standing in the back of the moving van. His left leg is crossed over his right. Image 43 is similar to the previous image, but the young man has uncrossed his legs and is waving toward the camera. Printed along one long edge of each of these is "KODAK SAFETY FILM 5063."
