Blazers vs. Cougars Basketball, 1979. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a boys' high school basketball game between the Timberline Blazers and the Capital Cougars. The game is being played at Timberline High School. Image 17 shows player 24 for the Blazers jumping up in the air and holding the ball over his head with both hands. Player 42 for the Blazers is just to the left of center in the image, and he is facing away from the camera. Image18 shows player 42 for the Blazers about to release a jump shot. Player 32 is near the right-hand edge of the image facing away from the camera. Image 19 shows a Cougars player with a jersey number ending in 0 having just grabbed a rebound. Player 50 for the Blazers is jumping up under the basket and facing away from the camera. Image 20 shows player 44 for the Blazers either going for a lay-up or going for a rebound. Player 50 for the Blazers is the player closest to the camera. He is facing away from the camera. Image 21 shows several players from each team looking up toward the basket. The ball is partially visible immediately next to the hoop rim. Player 32 for the Blazers is the closest player to the camera, and he is facing away from the camera. Image 22 shows a Blazers player with a jersey number beginning with 2 running while dribbling the ball. He is partially obscured by player 14 for the Cougars, who is defending. Player 14 is facing away from the camera. Players 42 for the Blazers and 22 for the Cougars are at the left-hand side of the image. Image 23 shows player 32 for the Blazers going for a lay-up. A player for the Cougars with a jersey number beginning with 2 is jumping up and trying to block the shot. Image 24 shows a player for the Blazers crouching down slightly and holding onto the ball with both hands. Player 24 for the Blazers is near the left-hand edge of the image and facing away from the camera. Image 25 shows several players walking on the court. No one in the image appears to have possession of the ball. Player 42 for the Cougars is in the background near the right-hand edge of the image. Image 26 shows player 30 for the Cougars holding the ball above his head with both hands while facing away from the camera. All of the players are at the far side of the court in relation to the camera. Image 27 shows a player for the Blazers dribbling the ball and facing away from the camera. Two players for the Cougars are guarding him. The image is underexposed, so it is difficult to make out more of the image. Image 28 shows player 32 for the Cougars chasing the ball. The ball appears to be bouncing toward the camera. The scoreboard is visible in the background and it shows that there are 27 seconds left in the fourth period. Printed at intervals along one edge of these film strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM 5063."
