Description

Yelm Prairie Day Queen, 1973. This single black and white film negative strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show an older woman in a dress posing for photos in what appears to be an antique shop, and a young woman in a dress with overall straps also posing for photos. Image 5 shows the older woman with two silver teapots in front of her. Image 6 shows the same older woman with her right arm out to her side. Her hand is outside of the image frame. Image 7 shows the younger woman with her head turned slightly towand her left. She is looking directly at the camera, and the image is oriented vertically. She is smiling. Image 8 shows the young woman in a similar pose, but the image was captured from a lower perspective than the previous image. The image is oriented horizontally. Image 9 shows a very similar image to that of image 8, but here the image is oriented vertically. Image 10 shows the young woman turning her head toward her left. Her face is not turned toward the camera. Printed in alternation along one edge of this film negative strip is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
