Description

Photograph, eighteen men sitting on steps of a wooden building. Black and white, brown-toned photograph. In the center of the back row is Father Edward Weckert and second from right in the second from top row is Father Sebastian Ruth. The photograph was probably taken in the early or mid teens of the 20th century, based on the age of these men and the clothing pictured. On the back of the photograph, written in pencil are the following names: Frank Pomery (Dec), Leo Hartnett, Morris Hickey, Charly McDonald, Charly McHugh, Mike Fitzgerald, Geo Davis (Dec), Jack Sweeney, Arno Redlich, Doc Hayes, M R OKeefe, L M Fellers, John Loonam, Father Edward, [Father] Sebastian, [blank space] Marshall, F T Crowe, Jack Madden. To the side is written: "Father Sebastian I believe has this negative if you care to have an enlargement made." Also tucked in between is "5.00 (Names)", which probably is a notation from the seller indicating that the photograph is worth more because it includes names written on it.
