Basketball Blazers vs. Bears, 1973. These four black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a boys' high school basketball game between the Timberline Blazers and the Olympia Bears. The game was played at Timberline High School. Image 3 shows player 52 for the Bears jumping underneath the basket. Both his arms are up above his head and bent at the elbow. Player 42 for the Blazers is to the right of player 52, and his back is turned toward the camera. Image 4 shows several players from both teams standing underneath the basket and looking up at the ball, which is immediately above the basket. Player 50 for the Bears is the closest player to the camera, and he is facing away from the camera. Image 5 shows a player for the Blazers about to release a jump shot. There are five lights visible hanging from the ceiling. Image 6 shows several players from each team reaching up in the air toward the ball, which is visible in the air. Player 52 for the Bears is at the center of the image facing away from the camera. The scoreboard is visible in the background, and shows that there is 7:22 left in the period.
