N Thurston High School at Lacey Library, 1973, These three black and white negative film strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. The images on these film strips appears to be a highschool play at the Lacey Library. Image 23 shows two people standing in a library, a man and a woman. The woman is on the left. She is standing with her hands spread out on either side of her. She is wearing a plaid shirt and khaki pants and a hat. The man on the righ is wearing a turtleneck. To the left of the woman is several wheat stalks. She appears to be dressed as a scarecrow. The man on the right seems to be standing behind something that is covering his legs. They are talking with each other. The image is oriented horizontally. Image 24 is very similar to the previous image. It appears to show the woman from the previous image without the man standing next to her. She is standing in the same way as before with both arms held out to either side. There are some round object near her feet. The image is oriented vertically. Image 25 is very similar to the previous image. The woman is standing as before, now with two different people, kneeling before her. They appear to be picking up the round objects. She is looking down at them. Image 26 is similar to the previous image. The two people now are holding the objects and are talking to the first woman. One is standing with her hands cupped holding the objects and the second is holding one up in her fingers and talking. The image is oriented horizontally. Image 27 is somewhat similar to the previous image. The woman is still standing with her arms held apart. There is now another two unknown people dressed in pumpkin costumes standing near her. There are two more unknown people standing behind her. Image 28 shows three more unknown people standing near the woman holding her arms out. The closest to her is a woman clasping her hands together her head is turned away from the camera. She is wearing a tail. The next person is a man wearing a fake nose and eyebrows as well as a furry hat. The third person is a woman wearing a leaf costume with her hands infront of her. Image 29 is very similar to the previous image. It shows the man in the furry hat and the woman in the leaf costume and half of the woman with her hands clasped together from the previous image. The image is oriented vertically. Image 30 is similar to the previous image. All four people from image 28 are pictured talking. There are two more people in hte back ground and two peoples heads out of focus in the foreground. The image is oriented horizontally. Image 31 is very similar to the previous image. The man in the furry hat is holding something up in his hands. The woman with the tail appears to be talking to one of the pumpkins. The bottom of the image shows the heads of several children. Image 32 shows part of a person out of focus in the foreground. The rest of the image shows a couple dozen children and their parents in the audience of the play. The front children are sitting with their legs crisscrossed. Image 33 is very similar to the previous image. It shows two different people out of focus in the foreground and past them is the audience. Image 34 shows three women on stage. One is sitting in a chair under a blanket with her feet on a stool. Another is sitting next to her with a book and is pointing at the one under the blanket. The third woman is standing in the background partly behind a wall with "1971, 1972, 1973 and 1974" on it. Image 35 shows two people on stage to the left of the woman "in bed" and the woman with the book. One is dressed like Peter Pan wearing shorts with tights and a hat with a copy of the book Peter Pan in his hands. The other person standing next to him has a coat draped across his shoulders and is holding a bat. There are heads of the audience in the bottom of the image. Image 36 is very similar to the previous image. It shows the man dressed like Peter Pan and the man with the bat, but not the woman with the book or the woman under the blanket. The image is oriented vertically. Image 37 shows part of the library's ceiling. There is a emergency sprinkler nozzle in the bottom right quadrant. The image is oriented horizontally. Image 38 shows several people around the woman with the book and the woman under the blanket. Peter Pan and another person holding the book are on their right. The image is oriented horizontally. There is a woman with her hand on the woman with the book's head and someone standing behind her. To their left are three people, one has a hat and furry coat and is holding a jar with something written on it, the one in the middle is not holding anything and the closest to the camera has a hat and is holding a basket.
One edge of the film strip has "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM" printed on it.Made/Created
