Basketball Lutes vs. Saints, unknown date. These images were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images were created using several different film rolls, so some of the physical numbers on the strips are duplicated. For the purposes of this description, the strips will be grouped according to which film roll they originally came from. Each group will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with the physical numbers on the strips (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, etc.) to help differentiate between images. The images in group "a" show a college basketball game between the Saint Martin's Saints and the Pacific Lutheran University Lutes. The game was played in Marcus Pavilion. Image 1a shows several Saints players going for a rebound. Player 30 for the Saints is just to the right of the center of the image, and he is facing away from the camera. Image 2a shows player 30 for the Saints about to release a jump shot. Players 21 and 31 for the Lutes are at the right-hand edge of the image. Image 3a shows a Saints player with a jersey number beginning with 3 running with the ball held in both hands at waist level. Players 24 and 21 for the Lutes are visible in the background. One person is facing the camera, but their face is very blurred. Image 36b shows approximately six men standing along the side of the basketball court. The leftmost man is wearing a striped shirt under a blazer. Image 37b shows a Lutes player being guarded by a Saints player. The picture is burry. Image 38b shows a player for the Saints crouched down and preparing to attempt a shot. Players 32 and 31 for the Lutes are visible to the shooter's left. Image 39b shows a portion of the crowd during the game. The scoreboard is visible in the background, and it shows that there is 10:39 left in the quarter.
