Description

Mary Lira and Bev Reines, 1974. This single black and white contact print strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show two women (Beverly Reines and Mary Lira, it is unclear which woman in which) individually posing for portrait-style photos. Image 20 shows a woman (wearing a top with a very wide collar. She is not smiling, and her body is turned toward the right-hand side of the image. Image 21 is very similar to the previous image, but the woman is facing toward the left-hand side of the image. Image 22 shows a woman wearing a sweater and a long necklace which is looped over her neck several times. Her body is oriented toward the right-hand side of the image, and she appears to be speaking. Image 23 is very similar to the previous image, but the woman is smiling. Image 24 is similar to the previous two images, but the woman's body is oriented toward the left-hand side of the image. Beverly Reines and Mary Lira were co-owners of Professional Business Enterprises, Inc, a company which provided secretarial and other services to other businesses. (Lacey Leader, 1/24/1973, pg.5)
