St. Placid, 1977. These four black and white negative film strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. Image 19 shows a young woman in a school uniform and glasses. She has her hands in her pockets. There is part of another person to her left. Her uniform has a patch on her left side that has "St. Placid Highschool Olympia Washington" on it. Image 20 shows three different young women in the same uniform with the same patch. There are trees in the background. Image 21 shows three more women laughing. The woman on their left is not wearing a uniform but a collared shirt. The image is oriented horizontally. Image 22 is very similar to the previous image. The image is oriented vertically and is centered on the woman not in uniform from the previous image. Image 23 shows a group of five woman from the side, walking. Two appear to be wearing the uniform the other three do not. Image 24 shows one of the students with glasses pulling her hand out of her pocket. To her left is part of another person's arm and to her right is part of a person holding papers. Image 25 shows two women, facing and looking to their left. One is wearing a sweater over a long dress, a coif and glasses. She has her hands in front of her. The person standing behind her is wearing a collared shirt underneath a jacket with a watch and bracelet. Image 26 is very similar to the previous image. The older woman in the coif is looking at the camer and the other woman is looking down. Image 27 shows three woman. Two of the students in uniform and an older woman with glasses in a hooded long coat. Image 28 is somewhat similar to the previous image. There are four people shown. In the far left appears to be an arm of the older woman with glasses from the previous image. There is an arm with the uniform in front of the older woman's arm and to their left is a young woman not in uniform. She is wearing a collared shirt underneath a jacket along with a bracelet, watch and belt. Behind her part of another person can be seen, though just part of her head and uniform. Image 29 is very similar to the previous image. It shows the same group of four but from a different angle. It appears to be taken next to the uniformed student who was behind the non uniformed woman from the previous image. Her hands are folded in front of her stomach. Image 30 shows the older woman with glasses in the long hooded coat. She is looking to her right and not smiling. Image 31 is very similar to the previous image. The woman with glasses is now on the far left of the image. Behind her more centered is a uniformed student with curly hair. They are both smiling. There is another person's shoulder on the far right of the image. Image 32 is very similar to the previous image. There are two people shown the older woman with glasses in the long coat and another uniformed student with glasses. They are both looking to their right. The student's hands are in her pockets. Image 33 shows a uniformed student behind two other people. Her hands are clasped in front of her. She is looking slightly to her right. Image 34 is very similar to the previous image. The student is now facing her right and talking. One of the people in front of her is facing her. Image 35 is very similar to the previous image. She is no longer talking and the person who was facing her is now facing to her right. Image 36 is very similar to the previous image. The student who had been looking at the talking student is now stading next to her. Both are looking to theri right. Image 37 is virtually identical to the previous image.
One edge of the film strips have "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM" printed on them.Made/Created
