Taco Time, 1977. These six black and white negative film strips were created for the Lacey Leacer newspaper. The images will be divided into lettered groups. The images will still be enumerated but the numbers will follow a letter (ex. A1, A2, B1,B2). Image A40 shows two people working around conveyor belts. One person is wearing a plaid collared shirt and slacks, the other is in a unbutton shirt with a necklace. Both people have their hands on a table and are looking down. Image A41 is a close up of the two people and the table they are working at. They are stacking tortillas which are coming down the conveyor belt. The image is oriented horizontally. Image A42 is virtually identical to the previous image. Image A43 shows another worker at a different part of the machinery. The man has his hand in the funnel of a machine. The bottom of the machine has tortillas coming out and moving towards the main conveyor belt. The image is oriented vertically. Image A44 is virtually identical to the previous image. Image A1 shows two different workers and the conveyor belt. The two workers are in the background and the focus seems to be a single tortilla that had just fallen on to the conveyor belt. The worker farther in the background is standing with his hands on his hips and the one closer is leaning over the conveyor belt looking down. Image A2 is very similar to the previous image. Both workers have moved towards the back of the image and a tortilla is mid fall on the the conveyor belt. Image A3 is very similar to the previous image. The two workers are now up towards the front of the image, looking towards the other end and another tortilla is caught mid free fall. Image A4 shows the conveyor belt with many tortillas on it. There are two on the lower tier, one in free fall and eight just emerging from the machine. Image A5 shows another worker at the stacks of tortillas, sealing the plastic bags the tortillas are in with a machine. Image A6 is very similar to the previous image. It shows the drying stacks of tortillas with no workers moving to seal them. The image is oriented horizontally. Image A7 is very similar to the previous image. It shows one sealed bag of tortillas on top of the table where the drying stacks are held. The label on the sealed bag has "The Tortilla Factory Olympia brand Stone Ground Corn Torillas Ingredients Corn, Water, Lime Made by The Tortilla Factory 1008 College Way, S.E. Lacey, Washington 98503 One Dozen Net Wt. 11 oz Keep Refridgerated" on it. Image A8 is virtually identical to the previous image. A9 is blank. Image B32 shows a large piece of machinery with a large funnel on the top. There is a tube that goes from the top to the bottom of the machine as well as a circular valve lever. The image is oriented vertically. Image B33 is virtually identical to the previous image. Image B34 shows a different machine with a large trough infront of it. There is a bucket underneath the machine and a circular lever in front of it. Image B35 is very similar to the previous image. There is a worker bent over turning the lever in front of the machine. There is something inside of the machine's trought that is being processed. Image B36 is very similar to the previous image. The worker is now standing in front of the machine holding a tube and pouring a liquid in to the machine's trough. There is another worker standing next to the machine with a bowl in his hands watching. There is a powder coming out of the bottom of the machine. Image B37 is very similar to the previous image. The man standing next to the machine is dumping the bowl in to the trough. Image B38 is very similar to the previous image. The worker is not pouring liquid into the machine but the other worker is still dumping the bowl into the trough. Image B39 is very similar to the previous image. The image is taken from behind the worker dumping the bowl instead of infront. Image B40 is very similar to the previous image. The worker is holding the bowl over the trough, it is now empty. The bucket below the machine is almost full of the powder from the ingredient put into the machine. Image B41 shows another worker taking some of the powder and putting it into another machine. Image B42 is virtually identical to the previous image. Image B43 shows the machine the powder was put into making tortillas. Image B44 is very similar to the previous image. The man is putting more powder into the machine. Image B1 shows two workers taking the tortillas off the conveyor belt and stacking them. Image B2 is vitually identical to the previous image.
