Description

Hispanic officers, unknown dates. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show three different men posing individually for portrait-style photos. Image 15 shows a man (Julio Silva) in a suit and patterned tie. There is a pen in his jacket's breast pocket. He is smiling, and his head and body are oriented toward the right-hand side of the image. Image 16 is similar to the previous image, but here Mr Silva is not smiling and his head and body are oriented toward the left-hand side of the image. Image 17 shows a man in glasses and a suit and diagonally-striped tie posing for a photo. His shirt is pinstriped. He is smiling, and his head and body are oriented toward the right-hand side of the image. Image 18 is nearly identical to image 17, but the man's head and body are oriented toward the left-hand side of the image. Image 19 shows a man in glasses and a suit and paisley-esque patterned tie. His body is oriented toward the right-hand side of the image, but his head is turned nearly straight-on with the camera. Image 20 is very similar to image 19, but here the man's head and body are oriented toward the left-hand side of the image. Julio Silva was a Lacey City Councilman. Printed in alternation along one long edge of each of these film negative strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
