Description

Prescotts Poets, 1975. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show an older woman (Alice Prescott) and an older man (Edgar Prescott) seated on a couch and reading from a single large book. Both of the people are holding the book with one of their hands. The couch has a floral pattern on it. Both the man and woman are wearing glasses. Image 7 shows the man and woman both looking down at the book. The index and middle finger of the man's left hand are visible at the bottom edge of the image. Image 8 is very similar to the previous image, but the photographer has zoomed in on the man and woman slightly. Image 9 is similar to the two previous images, but the photographer has zoomed in more on the man and woman. Image 10 shows the man and woman still seated on the couch and looking at the book. In this image, a small dog is seated between the man and woman. Images 11 and 12 are nearly identical to image 10. These images were created for inclusion with an article in the Lacey Leader newspaper concerning both Alice and Edgar Prescott publishing their own collections of poetry. (Lacey Leader, 11/5/1975, pg.7) Printed in alternation along the bottom edge of this film negative strip is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
