Description

Screwtape, 1975. This single black and white film negative strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show two young men either sitting or laying down on a table or the floor under a table. Image 4 shows a young man sitting up on a table with a sheet over it. A blanket is covering this young man's legs. A second young man is seated on the edge of the table and holding a book. Image 5 shows the first young man laying down on the table and covering the lower part of his face with his right hand. The second young man is still seated on the edge of the table, and he is reading from a book. Image 6 shows the young man who was previously seated on the edge of the table now laying down under the table. Image 7 is nearly identical to image 8. "Screwtape" is a play based on C.S. Lewis's book "The Screwtape Letters." Printed in alternation along the bottom edge of this film negative strip is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
