Description

Seagulls, 1974. These four contact photo film strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. Image 28 shows a blurry out of focus image. There are three vertical lines towards the middle of the image and another mark towards the left edge. Image 29 shows a seagull flying in the sky. Towards the right edge of the image is a blur mark. The image is oriented horizontally. Image 30 is very similar to the previous image. It shows a seagull farther away from the camera. To the right of the seagull are the tops of a tree's branches. Image 31 is very similar to the previous image. It shows a seagull even farther away. There are the tops of pine trees in the lower right corner. Image 32 is similar to the previous image. There are three seagulls shown flying. One is lower than the other two. There is part of a pine tree in the lower right corner. Image 33 is similar to the previous image. There is one seagull flying angling towards its' left with its' wings on the down beat. Image 34 is very similar to the previous image. The bird is angling towards its' right and its' wings are spread. Image 35 is very similar to the previous image. The single seagull is flying angled to its' right. There are the tip tops of pine trees in the bottom left and right corners. Image 36 is very similar to the previous image. The seagull is flying with its' wings pushed down. Image 37 is very similar to the previous image. The seagull appears to be flying straight with its' wings and body making a m shape. Image 38 is very similar to the previous image. The seagull is still flying straight but this time with its' wings pushed down. There appear to be several more seagulls four or five flying in the background. Image 39 is very similar to the previous image. The bird is angling to its' right. Image 40 shows a side profile of a flying seagull. The bird's wings are up and it is flying straight to the photographer's left. Image 41 is similar to the previous image. The bird's wings are down and it is flying to the photographer's right. Image 42 shows a bird flying beyond a parking lot in between a copse of trees. Image 43 is similar to the previous image. The bird is shown from the side with its' wings down and flying angled to the photographer's left. Image 44 is very similar to the previous image. The seagull is headed to the photographer's right. Image 1 shows a seagull's back as it is angled to its' left with wings spread but still in a vague m shape. Image 2 is very similar to the previous image. The seagull's wings are completely spread flat. The back of the film strips have "10-30-74" and "Seagulls" written on them.
