Harvest Festival, 1974. These two black and white negative film strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. Image 30 shows three older women sitting in chairs. The one on the left is wearing a turtleneck sweater. The one in the middle is wearing a long sleeved shirt underneath a vest with a ascot. The one on the right is wearing a suit. The two on the left have a doll on their laps. The one on the right has a handknit hot air balloon and a tiny pair of shoes. There is a sign to their right that has "The Harvest Festival So-Hang On" and "On November 11th and 12 at St. Micheal School". There are several more signs around them in the room. The image is oriented horizontally. Image 31 is very similar to the previous image. It is oriented vertically. This reveals that the doll the lady on the left is holding is sitting on a large metal milk can. Image 32 is very similar to the previous image. It is taken at a different angle and is not straight at the women. Image 33 is very similar to the previous image. It is oriented horizontally. Image 34 is very similar to the previous image. It was taken at a different angle more towards straight on than from the side. It is oriented horizontally. Image 35 shows four different women standing outside with the signs that were around the room. The sign on the far left appears to be an itinerary of the festival that lays out the times for food and the various entertainment. The other signs appear to be basic advertisements with scarecrows or clowns talking about the festival. Image 35 is virtually identical to the previous image.
