Girl Scouts with Christmas Tree, 1975. These two black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a man in glasses and a tie posing for portrait-style photos, two young girls in Girl Scouts uniforms decorating a Christmas tree is South Sound Center, and Ken Balsley in a Western-style shirt. Image 1 shows the man in glasses with a tie. He is not smiling, and may be speaking. Image 2 is very similar to image 1, but here the man is smiling. Image 3 shows two young girls decorating a Christmas tree. The girl nearer to the camera is wearing a beanie-style cap and the girl further from the camera has her hair in pigtails. The girl in the beanie is shown from just below the shoulder up. Image 4 again shows the two girls decorating the tree, but the photographer has moved further away from them. The bottom half of the sign for People's department store is visible at the top of the image. Image 5 shows both girls decorating the tree. The girl in the beanie is tilting her head toward the camera slightly. Image 10 shows both girls looking toward the camera and smiling as they decorate the tree. Image 11 is nearly identical to image 10. Image 12 is very similar to the previous two images, but here the photographer has either zoomed in or moved closer to the two girls. Image 13 shows Ken Balsley in a Western-style shirt. He appears to be seated in someone's home. He is looking toward the right-hand side of the image frame.
Printed in alternation along one long edge of both of these film negative strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."Made/Created
