Description

Mayor with Girl Scouts, 1975. These three contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show Lacey mayor Bill Bush posing for photos with three Girl Scouts and a box of Girl Scout cookies. Image 20 shows Mr. Bush receiving a box of Girl Scout cookies from the tallest of the three Girl Scouts. Mr. Bush is on the left, and the Girl Scouts are standing in descending order of height from left to right. Image 21 is very similar to the previous image, but the photographer has pitched the camera downward slightly. Image 22 is similar to the previous two images, but here Mr. Bush is looking through his wallet. Image 23 shows Mr. Bush handing the tallest Girl Scout some cash and receiving a box of cookies. The shortest Girl Scout is partially outside of the right-hand edge of the image. Image 24 is similar to the previous image, but the shortest Girl Scout is fully inside the right-hand edge of the image frame. Image 25 is very similar to image 24, but the photographer has pitched the camera downward slightly. Image 26 shows Mr. Bush holding up a box of cookies and looking toward the tallest Girl Scout, and she is looking back at him. None of the other Girl Scouts are in this image (or any of the subsequent images). Image 27 is very similar to the previous image, but the photographer has pitched the camera downward slightly. Image 28 is similar to the previous two images, but the photographer has moved to their left slightly. Image 29 is similar to images 26 and 27, but the photographer has moved to their right slightly. Image 30 is nearly identical to image 29. Image 31 is similar to the previous five images, but both Mr. Bush and the Girl Scout are laughing. Image 32 is nearly identical to image 31.
