Description

Alan McWain, 1975. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a seated man (Alan McWain) drawing portraits of Ken Balsley and Ed Bagley. Image 27 shows Mr. McWain working on the left ear of Mr. Bagley's portrait. This image is oriented vertically. Image 28 is similar to the previous image, but the photographer has lowered their perspective. Image 29 is similar to the previous two images, but now the photographer has raised their perspective. Mr. McWain appears to be working on Mr. Bagley's mouth. Image 30 is similar to the previous images, but it is oriented horizontally. Image 31 is similar to image 28, but more of the drawing is visible. Images 32 and 33 are nearly identical to image 28. Alan McWain produced the drawings shown in these images for use in the Lacey Leader. Printed in alternation along one long edge of these film negative strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
