Marijuana Plant, 1974. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a potted marijuana plant on a desk in a wood-paneled police department office and a woman standing next to a potted marijuana plant which is sitting on the floor. These images were presumably captured at the Lacey Police Department. Image 35 shows the marijuana plant. A portion of a fluorescent ceiling light fixture is visible in the top left corner of the image. A doorway is partially visible at the right-hand edge of the image. Image 36 also shows the marijuana plant. A small portion of the desk the plant is sitting on is visible in this image. Two pieces of paper are posted on the wall behind the plant. Image 37 is very similar to the previous image, but the photographer has lowered their point of view slightly. More of the desk is visible in this image, as are a coffee cup and a binder which are sitting on the desk. Image 38 shows a close-up of several of the plant's leaves. Image 39 shows a woman in a blazer and a skirt standing next to the plant, which is sitting on the floor. There is a patch on the woman's left shoulder, but it is unreadable. The woman is looking down at the plant. There is a sign on the door behind the woman which reads "DETECTIVES." The woman is visible from head to toe in this image. Image 40 is similar to the previous image, but the woman is only visible from the knees up. She is smiling. Image 41 is very similar to image 39, but the woman has moved toward the left-hand side of the image. Here she is also smiling.Made/Created
