North Thurston Decathlon/Pentathlon, 1974. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show an outdoor food vendor, a man using an x-acto knife on a piece of art mounted on a piece of wood, a track meet, a young man in a track uniform and some grass. Image 43 shows some grass. Image 44 also shows some grass. Image 1 shows a young man in a track uniform posing for a photo. His body is oriented toward the right. He is only shown from approximately the waist-up. Image 2 shows the same young man, but here his body is oriented toward the left. Image 3 is very similar to image 1, but the photographer has moved away or zoomed out from the young man. Image 4 shows a young man in a track uniform which reads "T.C. STRIDER" or "T.C. STRIDERS" on the front. This person is running or warming up on the track. Image 12 shows a person standing on a catwalk near a carnival ride. There is a large sign or billboard in the background which reads "...ntastic." Image 13 shows a man wearing a wicker hat with a Rotary emblem on the front working a out of a food truck. Only the window of the food truck is visible, and there is a second man standing to the left of the man in the wicker hat. Image 14 shows almost the entirety of the food truck. There are Pepsi logos along the bottom of the side of the food truck, and there are three men standing near the windows of the food truck. The photographer is standing toward the left-hand end of the food truck. Image 15 is similar to the previous image, but the photographer has moved toward the right-hand end of the food truck. Image 16 shows a man seated at a table and using an x-acto knife on a piece of art mounted on a piece of wood. The man's head is tipped downward, and there is a little girl standing next to him. Image 17 shows the man with the x-acto knife looking toward the camera. He is wearing a necklace.
