Heart Fund Drive, unknown date. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a man in a suit presenting a check to a woman in a dress and another man in a suit, and two women standing next to a small boy who is digging in his pants pockets. Image 1 shows a man with a mustache wearing a suit handing a check to a man with glasses in a suit. There is a woman in a dress standing between the two men. The woman and the man in glasses are looking toward the other man. Image 2 is very similar to the previous image, but here the woman is reaching up to push her hair out of her face. The photographer has also zoomed out or moved away from the three people. Image 3 shows all three of the people holding the check with one hand. The photographer has again zoomed out or moved further away from the three people. Image 4 shows all three people holding the check. The woman and the man in glasses are looking at the man with the mustache. The woman appears to be laughing. Image 5 is very similar to the previous image, but the woman is no longer smiling and she is looking downward. Image 6 is very similar to the previous image, but the photographer has moved approximately four feet to their left. Image 7 shows two women with a little boy standing between them. The woman on the left is holding an envelope which reads "THE HEART FUND" and the woman on the right is holding a postcard-sized item which reads "HELP THEM LIVE." This image is oriented horizontally, and only the boy's head and shoulders are inside the image frame. Image 8 is very similar to the previous image, but it is oriented vertically. The two women are shown from the mid-calf up. Image 9 is very similar to the previous image, but the women are shown from head to toe. Printed in alternation along one long edge of both of these film negative strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
