Description

LeRoy's Jewlers, 1973. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a man (Greg Kluh) in a tie holding up and looking at a watch and a ring. These images were captured in the South Sound Center store location of LeRoy's Jewelers and Diamond Setters. Image 35 shows Mr. Kluh holding up a woman's watch with his right hand and lightly holding the opposite end with his left hand. He is holding a ring between his left index finger and thumb. This image is oriented vertically. Image 36 is very similar to the previous image, but the photographer has either zoomed out or moved away from the man. Here Mr. Kluh's belt and the upper portion of his pants are visible. Image 37 shows Mr. Kluh holding up both the watch and the ring in his right hand. This image is oriented horizontally. Image 38 shows Mr. Kluh in the same pose as in the previous image, but this image is oriented vertically. Image 39 is similar to image 38, but the photographer has moved to their left slightly. Image 40 is very similar to the previous image, but here Mr. Kluh is laughing. Image 41 is very similar to the previous image, but the man is only smiling and not laughing. Image 42 is similar to the previous image, but he is no longer smiling. These images were created to accompany an article in the Lacey Leader newspaper concerning a contest being jointly held by LeRoy's Jewelers and Diamond Setters and KGY radio. Greg Kluh was the manager of the LeRoy's Jewelers location in South Sound Center. (Lacey Leader, 7/5/1973, pg.1) Printed in alternation along one long edge of both of these film strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
