"Keep Off Ice" Sign, 1974. This single black and white contact print strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a man (Bill Darmody) preparing to hammer a sign mounted on a stake into a frozen lake, and several children playing on the ice. Image 5 shows Bill Darmody in a knit cap and a jacket preparing to hammer the sign into the ice. This image is oriented horizontally. Image 6 is very similar to the previous image, but it is oriented vertically. Image 7 is very similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has stepped to their right slightly. Image 8 is nearly identical to image 6. Image 9 shows two children skating on the ice. This image is oriented horizontally. Image 10 is very similar to the previous image, but this image is oriented vertically.
