Description

Nisqually DAR Winner, 1974. These three black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show five different young men posing for portrait-style photographs, and an office desk with a light and two large binders on it. Image 2 shows an office desk with a light and two large binders on it. Image 3 shows a young man in glasses and a sweater posing for a photo. There are two stripes at the collar of his sweater. He is looking toward the camera and his head is oriented slightly toward the right-hand side of the image frame. Image 4 is very similar to the previous image, but the young man's head is oriented slightly toward the left-hand side of the image frame. Image 5 shows a young man wearing glasses and a patterned, button-up shirt posing for a photo. He has several pens in his shirt pocket. He is looking toward the camera, and his head is oriented slightly toward the left-hand side of the image frame. Image 6 is similar to the previous image, but the young man's head is oriented toward the left-hand side of the image frame. Image 7 shows a young man with shoulder-length hair wearing a plaid button-up shirt. He is not smiling, and his head is oriented toward the right-hand side of the image frame. Image 28 shows a young man wearing a suit and tie posing for a photo. He is looking toward the camera and smiling. Visible hanging on the wall above the young man's head is the bottom portion of a plaque. The visible portion of this plaque reads "CHAMBER OF COMMERCE 1974." Images 29 aand 30 are nearly identical to image 28. Image 32 shows a young man in glasses wearing a button-up shirt with a pattern which resembles interlocking daisy-type flowers. The young man's head is oriented toward the right-hand side of the image frame. Image 33 is very similar to the previous image, but the young man's head is oriented toward the left-hand side of the image frame.
