Description

Rex Comstock of Safeway, 1973. This single black and white film negative strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. This image shows a man (Rex Comstock) in a plaid suit with combed-back hair from the mid-chest up. He is in a wood-paneled office and there is a plaque or poster with two Safeway logos on it. None of the text on the poster/plaque is readable. The man is looking toward the camera. This image was created for inclusion in an article concerning Rex Comstock being awarded the "Golden Acorn Award," for his involvement with North Thurston youth activities. The article also relates information on Comstock's life and work in general. (Lacey Leader, 6/6/1973, pg. 12) Printed along the bottom edge of this film strip is "KODAK SAFETY FILM."
