Description

Tom Dittmar Lacey Police, 1973. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a man (Tom Dittmar) in a Lacey police uniform posing for portrait-style photos. Image 23 shows Mr. Dittmar wearing a Lacey police uniform, complete with the cap. There is a pin on his right collar which reads "LPD." His head and body are oriented toward the right-hand side of the image frame. He is looking toward the camera and smiling. Images 24 and 25 are nearly identical to image 23. Image 27 shows Mr. Dittmar wearing the same uniform, but without the cap. Here he is also wearing glasses. His head and body are oriented toward the right-hand side of the image frame, and he is looking toward the camera. He is not smiling. Image 28 is very similar to the previous image, Mr. Dittmar is smiling. The image is oriented vertically. Image 29 is very similar to the previous image, but it is oriented horizontally. These images were created for use in an article highlighting Tom Dittmar, at the time the newest member of the Lacey Police Department. (Lacey Leader, 6/6/1973, pg.3) Printed along one long edge of the strip bearing images 27-29 is "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM." Discolorations obscure the printed label on the other strip.
