Description

Lauren, Mary and Don Kelsey (Stamps), 1974. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a person in a dog costume interacting with two children; and a man, and two women posing for portrait-style photos. Image 29 shows a person in a dog costume kneeling down to interact with two small children. They are in the House of Values department store. Image 30 shows a man with glasses in a suit and patterned tie posing for a portrait-style photo. His head and body are oriented slightly toward the right-hand side of the image frame. He is looking at the camera and showing an open-lipped smile. Image 31 is very similar to the previous image, but the man has oriented his body more toward the camera. Image 32 is very similar to image 30, but the man is not showing any teeth. Image 33 shows a woman with short hair and round-rimmed glasses wearing a zippered, v-neck top. Her head and body are oriented directly toward the camera, and she is smiling. Image 34 is very similar to image 33, but here the woman is speaking. Image 35 is similar to the two previous images, but the woman has turned her head toward the left-hand side of the image. She is smiling. Image 36 shows a woman (Lauren Balsley) with short hair wearing octangonal-rimmed glasses and a short-sleeved dress. The Mrs. Balsley's head and body are oriented toward the left-hand side of the image frame and she is smiling. She is not looking toward the camera. Image 37 is similar to the previous image, but here Mrs. Balsley is not smiling and she has turned her head further toward the left-hand side of the image frame. Image 38 shows Mrs. Balsley laughing. Image 39 is very similar to image 37, but here Mrs. Balsley's face is turned more toward the camera. Image 40 shows the young woman facing toward the camera and smiling. Printed in alternation along one long edge of this film negative strip is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
