Description

Black and white photo of Lacey mayor Albert Van Andel and Seattle mayor Wes Uhlman. Van Andel is on the left and is mostly bald. He is wearing glasses and has on a dark suit over a white shirt and a striped tie. He is holding what appears to be a plaque and is leaning toward a microphone that stands between the two men. Uhlman has medium length gray hair and is wearing a white shirt, a patterned tie, and dark trousers. A watch is visible on his arm and he is holding what appears to be a package. In the background are portions of individuals and a wall and railing. Further in the background is a portion of the Smith Tower, a building in Seattle. What appears to be two birds are visible in flight. There is a white border on all sides. On the back in pencil is "5 1/2 x 6 page 2" and in blue ink "Monday July 3 Frame 29". In red ink is "Albert Van Andel" and "Wes Ulhman [sic]". Van Andel was mayor of Lacey and Uhlman was mayor of Seattle. This image was probably published in the Lacey Leader newspaper.
