Description

Black and white photo of Nancy Evans and an unidentified woman. Mrs. Evans is on the left and has light colored hair extending to her shoulders. She is wearing a white dress with a bow at the neck. She is holding what appears to be a piece of fabric. The woman on the right has short dark hair and is wearing a check-patterned dress. At her neck is a black and white collar. She is looking at the object being held by Mrs. Evans. In front of the two is a chair with striped upholstery and wooden arms. On the char are pieces of fabric or carpet. Behind the women is a panelled door, wall paper, and a louvered door. There is a white border on all sides. On the back in pencil is "3 col (inside) Leader" and in red ink "Nancy Evans". Nancy Evans was the wife of Governor Dan Evans. This image was probably published in the Lacey Leader newspaper.
