Black and white photo of a structure at a marina used to move boats in and out of the water. The main object of interest in this image is a pier on wooden pilings that has a solid floor near the shore and an open area at the water end. On the pier is a metal framework made up of steel beams and mounted on wheels that run along the sides of the pier. On the framework is hoisting equipment for raising or lowering a boat onto a transport or into the water. In this image a boat is inside the framework. The mast of the boat is lying flat on the boat and there is an engine with an exhaust pipe visible. Four people in foul weather gear are standing beside the boat with their backs toward the camera. In the foreground are some logs and other debris on ground. Water is visible under the pier, and behind the pier is a building and behind that are telephone poles. There is a metal fence visible at the left end of the pier. There is no information on the back.Made/Created
