Description

Black and white photo of two side-by-side highway bridges. Both bridges consist of a framework made up of steel girders. The bridge on the right appears to be in use while the one on the left is under construction. Concrete piers supporting he bridge on the right are visible as is a concrete railing. In a gravel area in front of the bridge on the left are various construction equipment and materials including bundles of re-bar. On the bridge deck are materials and equipment including what appears to be an air compressor and two vehicles. The boom of a crane extends from the left side to the top of the image. Trees are visible on the right and left edges. There is a white border on all sides. On the back is a stamp in black ink that says "Wash. State Highway Dept. Photo by Forest and Whitmire Photography 306 West Walnut, Yakima, Wash. CH 8-6700". Another stamp says "job #67 664". In pencil is "49".
