Description

A man and a dog depicted in a 3 1/2" x 4 1/2" black and white photograph with a completely uneven border. A sign pasted on the wall diagonally behind him reads "Merry Christmas Peery's Camp." The man is seated in a chair holding a sign in the same size and lettering that reads: "1934" in his left hand which is also stablizing the dog. In his right hands he holds a dark object with a strap wrapped around his hand. The dog appears to be a Jack Russell terrier or similar breed. There is no inscription on the reverse side. According to advertisements in the Morning Olympian newspaper during this time, Peery's Camp rented cottages. It's possible that the man in this photo is from the Mullen family, who would likely have been neighbors to the camp on Pattison (Patterson at the time) Lake.
