Description

Black and white photo of the old Washington Capitol building. The building is of light colored stone and has an arched entrance, turrets and conical roofs, domed roof parts, and a tower in the center that also has a domed roof and bay windows. The tower has arched openings and circular stonework design. There is a telephone pole in the foreground as well as trees. There is a white border on all sides. On the back is a stamp in purple ink "Custom Photo Service P. O. Box 5 Littlerock, Wash 98556 C. R. Jensen". In blue ink below the stamp is "July 1970" and also in blue ink is "Thurston County Courthouse 1901-1903". A stamp in blue ink says "State Capitol Museum 211 West 21st Street Olympia, Wash. 98501". In blue felt pen is "100%" crossed out, "100%" crossed out with green, an unreadable squiggle, and an "L" in a circle. In green felt pen is "85%" and "yes". There are indications of tape having been previously attached in four places. This image was probably published in the Lacey Leader newspaper.
