Lacey School 2nd grade class from the 1928-1929 school year depicted in a black and white (brown-toned) 5" x 7" photograph with an unevenly spaced white border. There are 35 students and one teacher pictured. The front row is comprised of eleven boys, the second row twelve girls, and the third row eight boys and four girls. The teacher, Miss Grace Hagen, is standing in the back center behind the children. The group is pictured outside on the front steps of the Lacey School in front of two doors and two brick columns. One of the doors is open. The students are facing forward. The first row of students is sitting on the bottom step, most with arms crossed. The remaining rows are standing on the steps behind them. At the bottom left of the image is written in white: "5516". On the top border at right is written in blue ink: "Miss Hagan Teacher."

In the third row: an unknown student, Fred Dow, four unknown students, Margaret Cohrs and five unknown students.
On the back of the photo, in the upper right corner is written in pencil: "#620" presumably by museum staff and at left "Snap Foy (Gordon) Ollie's son -- about 6 or 7 years old circa 1927 Old Lacey School." At right, oriented vertically is the photographer's stamp: " This size 25cts. Mounted, 40cts. Order by Number on face of picture. Perkins Studio, 314 Crown Bldg. Second & James St., Seattle, Wash" and next to this in pencil is "Gordon Foy" and then "Lacey School 1927-1928 2nd grade Grace Hagen".Made/Created
