Description

Lacey Drive-In, 1976. This single black and white contact print strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show the Lacey Drive-In movie theater. Image 30 shows the movie screen from the drive-in. A large section of the open parking area is visible, as well as a number of the metal posts used to hold the speakers for the indvidual vehicles. The speakers themselves are gone. Image 31 shows a large number of the metal posts used to hold the speakers. None of the speakers are present, and the post nearest to the camera is bent to the left. Image 32 shows the lower, left-hnd portion of the movie screen, a portion of a low building in front of the screen, and a row of the metal posts. Image 33 shows the drive-ins restrooms. Image 34 shows a large portion of the parking area and a large number of metal posts. This image was captured facing away from the movie screen. The Lacey Drive-In movie theater existed at the location now (January, 2018) occupied by Market Square.
