Tumwater Play, 1976. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a performance or practice for an unknown play taking place in a classroom. Based on the title, the play was presumably put on by Tumwater High School's drama program. The players are, from left to right: a young man with a mustache wearing an apron, a second young man in a pinstriped suit in a wheelchair, and a young woman in a sun hat and patchwork dress. Image 22 shows the young man in the suit holding his right hand up in a grasping posture. The young woman is looking directly toward the camera. Image 23 shows The young man in the apron and the young woman looking at eachother. Both have their hands on their hips. Image 24 is similar to the previous image, but the young man in the apron is leaning toward the young woman. Image 25 shows the young woman turning away from the two young men. Her right hand is blurred. Image 26 shows the young man in the apron with his arms straight down at his sides. Both young men are looking toward the young woman, and the young woman is looking downward slightly. Image 27 shows the two young men looking toward the young woman. The young woman is looking toward the camera and speaking. Image 28 shows the two young men looking downward and the woman looking toward the young man in the apron. Image 29 shows the young man in the apron looking toward the young woman, the young man in the suit looking toward the camera, and the young woman with her eyes closed. Image 30 shows the young man in the apron and the young woman facing inward toward the young man in the suit. Image 31 shows the actors seen in the previous images, as well as three additional people observing the play.
Printed in alternation along one long edge of both of these film negative strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."Made/Created
